MODULE 1

Singles

Apply all of the Single Stroke Roll rudiments around the drums in unique ways. Filmed at Teddie's Lookout, Victoria.

Singles as 16ths, triplets, 16th triplets, 32nd notes and with accents
Adding bass drums, drags and flams to single stroke fills
Master the single stroke 4 & 7 in unique subdivisions

MODULE 2

Rolls & Diddles

Learn to apply all the numbered double stroke roll rudiments & paradiddle variations around the drums. Filmed at Boat Bay, Victoria.

5, 6, 7, 9, 10, 11, 13, 15 and 17 stroke rolls as fills
Regular, inward, outward & reverse single paradiddles as fills or grooves

MODULE 3

Flams

The advantages of using "symmetrical rudiments" like flam taps and the flam accent to even the world load on the hands.
How to play the flam rudiments in subdivisions other than the original rhythm, for variation.

MODULE 4

Drags

In this module we look at interesting ways to interpret and execute drag rudiments, including using doubles on the bass drum. Filmed at Airey's Inlet Lighthouse, Victoria.

Interpreting the drags as 2 x 32nd notes on the bass drum for heavier sounding fills
How drag rudiments can be re-interpreted in other note rates to get busy sounding fills
Playing drag rudiments in reverse to get the opposite sounding phrase, melodically

Advanced

In this module you will discover tons of advanced ways to apply the rudiments, including:

Advanced odd number units, like 3, 5, 7 and 9

Advanced Independence

In this module we look at applying advanced counting and techniques to beats & fills.
