In this lesson we continue with the same fill
pattern as last time but look at new ways of expanding around the
kit. This time, instead of keeping the RH on the ride cymbal and the
LH on the snare, we will firstly play the RH accents on the toms,
and then move the LH notes onto the toms.
Even though the essential sticking pattern remains the same, the fills now sound significantly different. At full speed, you wouldn't neccessarily notice that it's all derived from the same original sticking pattern. Enjoy!
Here is the groove I am playing in this video before the fills, it is written below with a straight 16th feel, but play it with a swung feel.
